This publication celebrates, documents and evaluates 10 years of the Leadership Development for Women programme at the University of Western Australia. Its purpose is to:

• celebrate success through glimpses of the stories of individual women participants
• document the programme: what it is, what it does, how it has evolved over 10 years, and what place it holds in the life of the University, and
• evaluate what works, where there are problems, what could work better, what impact the programme has had on the 360 women who have participated from 1994 to 2004, and what impact it has had on the wider University community.

The book covers the conceptual and theoretical underpinnings to the programme by exploring gender, the concept of the gendered workplace, leadership and organisational culture and their application to programme content and design. It explores peer learning and mentoring and the impact of these on participants, mentors, and the broader University community. It examines the applicability and effectiveness of the programme for women from minority groups, and provides an overview of gender equity at UWA from 1990 - 2004.

The book was available for puchase at a cost of $22 per copy (including GST, postage and handling), but copies have sold out.
