Heads Up Leadership Programme
Executive SummaryThe inaugural Heads Up Leadership Programme was judged by Heads of School, Deans and members of the Executive to be highly successful. It provided Heads with the opportunity to reflect on and further enhance their capacity as leaders, broadened their understanding of their role and increased their confidence. A particular strength was the opportunity to build a strong network through productive interaction with each other. Heads perceived that this helped them reduced their sense of isolation, and provided contact with peers with whom they could share experiences, seek information, vent frustrations and very importantly, socialise and relax. The programme increased Heads’ sense of identity with the University as a whole and their feeling of being valued. Heads, Deans and Executive members agreed that the programme delivered significant benefits for the University. There was unanimous agreement that the program should continue in its current forum. | |
