Use it, Don't Lose It!: How to Use University Records
Intended Audience:All Central Administration staff responsible for creating or using University files. Workshop Description:Every staff member at UWA is responsible for ensuring that they are aware of, and comply with the University’s record keeping standards, policies and procedures. This workshop will introduce you to the benefits of managing your records, the what, why and how of filing, basic classification and file titling and the dos and don’ts of University file management. Intended Outcomes:By attending this presentation you will gain: - awareness of what records need to be filed on University files and how they be filed
- awareness of how to manage the University files in your custody
- an understanding of when to request the creation of a new University file
- an understanding of how University files are titled

Debra Paisley, Archives and Records Management Services, UWA Cost:UWA staff members and UWA affiliates will receive priority in gaining access to this session. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees.
We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance. Staff working in other universities will receive a 20% discount on the commercial fee. Number of Places:24
