Introduction to Academic Portfolios

Intended Audience:

All academic staff in particular those intending to apply for promotion or tenure.

Workshop Description:

This workshop will provide an explanation of what constitutes an Academic Portfolio in UWA and how it can be used effectively. It will also look into means to start a portfolio.

This includes material previously included in the CATL workshop "Developing Your Teaching Portfolio"

Intended Outcomes:

At the end of this workshop, participants will have:
  • strategies to start an academic portfolio
  • ideas on how to use academic portfolios effectively

Cost:

UWA staff members and UWA affiliates will receive priority in gaining access to this session. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees. We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance. Staff working in other universities will receive a 20% discount on the commercial fee.
