Intended Audience:

This workshop is essential to staff with financial responsibilities - new and existing School Managers, Finance Officers and Assistant Finance Officers.

Workshop Description:

Knowledge is power! All you need to know upfront is designed to introduce participants to the University’s financial practice. This workshop includes the financial reporting structure, the University’s internal and external obligations, the University’s Chart of Accounts, the cut-off dates, the Finance Manual and the forms.

Intended Outcomes:

After completing this workshop, participants should be able to have an overview of the university’s financial practices.

Examples and hands-on exercises on common tasks required in any financial role.

Cost:

UWA staff members and UWA affiliates will receive priority in gaining access to this session. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees. We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance. Staff working in other universities will receive a 20% discount on the commercial fee.
