Applying for Jobs: Facing Selection PanelsRelatedIntended Audience:University staff who would like some practice in being interviewed by selection panels and receive constructive feedback on their skills.Workshop Description:Many people feel overwhelmed at the thought of being interviewed for a job, particularly by a selection panel of three or more people. Some have not been interviewed for a long time and are unsure what to expect. This session will offer you the opportunity to be interviewed in a supportive environment by UWA staff who are learning to be on selection panels. Some of the panel members will have prior interviewing experience and some will be new to it.A Level 5 Administrative Officer position will be used for the interviews, and questions will be based around the following selection criteria: organisational skills, working independently, working in a team, initiative, and communication skills. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees. We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance.
