Financial Reporting Options

Intended Audience:

Supervisors and Managers with financial management or reporting responsibilities and are required to access and interpret financial reports within the University’s Peoplesoft financial system.

Workshop Description:

This course will introduce new supervisors and managers to the basics of extracting and understanding the financial report preparation and its interpretation. Learning how to read the reports will assist with performance monitoring, review and planning. This practical workshop will explore the current software used by the University and provide guidance on how to interpret income and expenditure reviews.

Intended Outcomes:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the University’s reporting structure
  • Learn the efficient ways to analyse reports
  • Obtain hands-on PeopleSoft to run month-end & quarter end reports

Key Activities:

The orientation will comprise short information components followed by activities, discussions or case studies. The focus will be on participants’ interaction and interchange.

Cost:

UWA staff members and UWA affiliates will receive priority in gaining access to this session. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees. We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance. Staff working in other universities will receive a 20% discount on the commercial fee.
