Giving Effective Performance Feedback
Intended Audience:All staff who want to improve their skill in giving and receiving feedback. Workshop Description:Poorly delivered feedback has a very strong negative impact on people. Giving and receiving effective feedback is one of the most important skills that staff at all levels need to master. This program will assist participants in recognising the value that timely feedback can create. It will focus on giving feedback appropriately as well as being able to receive and make use of feedback. Intended Outcomes:At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to: - Identify general guidelines for giving feedback
- Overcome barriers to the feedback process
- Customise feedback and foster change
- Deal with vague feedback, uncommunicative people, and volatile situations

Shelda Debowski, Organisational and Staff Development Services, UWA Cost:UWA staff members and UWA affiliates will receive priority in gaining access to this session. Participant enrolment in this workshop will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. Please note a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendees.
We also welcome enrolment by non-UWA participants, subject to availability. The commercial fee for non-UWA attendees is calculated at $100 per hour of attendance. Staff working in other universities will receive a 20% discount on the commercial fee. Number of Places:24
