HERDSA WA

Higher Education Research and Development Society of
Australasia Inc.
The Western Australian branch of HERDSA has been running since
1993. The WA committee organises a range of local activities and
guest speakers hosted by each WA University. By joining HERDSA
nationally you automatically become a member of the WA branch.
Application forms and further information can be obtained from
the branch secretary. The first of these speakers in 1993 was
Professor Gordon Stanley addressing the quality assurance agenda
in higher education. Since then, the branch has sustained a full
and varied programme through the collaborative and generous
support of each local Univerity's teaching and learning
centres. | Invitation to attend the HERDSA WA Rekindled Conference, October 5th, 2006 Dear Colleagues, The HERDSA WA Committee is pleased to invite you to attend a FREE, half day “HERDSA Rekindled Conference” to be held at the University of Notre Dame Australia on October 5th. In addition to presentations by those who gave papers at the HERDSA Conference at UWA earlier this year, we are seeking to have first-time presenters such as PhD/Masters/Honours students showcase their work. This might take the form of a poster or ten minute presentation. If you have students who would like to take advantage of this opportunity to present and obtain peer feedback, please encourage them to contact Dr Kerry Pedigo to arrange a timeslot. Details about the Conference are outlined below: Venue: Medicine Lecture Theatre (ND 35/301), Henry Street, Fremantle, University of Notre Dame Australia Date: October 5th, 2006 Time: 9 am to 1pm RSVP: To Dr Kerry Pedigo on 92662807 or at k.pedigo@curtin.edu.au by September 29th 2006
